3S Academy : Keep your knowledge up to date

Welcome to the 3S Academy. Your key to successfully installing building-integrated 3S solar systems.

The planning and installation of 3S solar solutions within the building envelope is a complex process. Only with in-depth expertise and professional installation can maximum efficiency and high long-term yields be ensured. This is exactly where the 3S Academy comes in: We provide our (prospective) specialist partners with practical know-how - flexibly offered as indoor, outdoor, or online training.

Invest in your knowledge and a strong partnership. Ensure the long-term success of your solar projects.

An overview of our training modules

Indoor training

The Basic/Installation Course provides hands-on knowledge about the 3S solar roof, including tips for efficient installation. You’ll receive comprehensive training to ensure a successful partnership and the safe use of our 3S solar solutions.

Outdoor Training

During the on-site training, we’ll guide you through the planning and installation of your first 3S solar system. We’ll prepare all the drawings (PV layout, batten plan) needed to complete your project and will spend a day on the roof with you and your team.

Online Training

Our offerings also include online training on 3S solar solutions. Participants receive effective training through instructional videos and quizzes. Earn your certification online as a 3S solution partner authorized to present our products.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the advantages of BIPV compared to conventional PV systems?

    BIPV offers several advantages:

    • Aesthetics: By integrating it into the building envelope, BIPV blends seamlessly into the architectural design.

    • Space-saving: Since BIPV modules replace conventional building materials, they free up additional space on the roof or facade.

    • Dual function: BIPV modules provide both protection from weather effects and energy generation.

    • sustainability: BIPV helps reduce a building's environmental footprint by utilizing renewable energy.

  • How does the installation of BIPV modules differ from that of conventional PV systems?

The installation of BIPV modules requires careful planning and collaboration between architects, structural engineers, and PV specialists. Since BIPV modules are an integral part of the building envelope, they must meet both the aesthetic and functional requirements of the building. This includes considerations regarding watertightness, thermal insulation, and structural integrity.

  • What should be considered when planning a BIPV project?

When planning a BIPV project, the following points should be taken into account:

    • Architectural integration: The modules must be aesthetically compatible with the building's design.

    • Technical Specifications: Selecting the right modules based on efficiency, performance, and local climatic conditions.

    • Regulatory requirements: Compliance with local building codes and standards.

    • Cost-effectiveness: Cost-benefit analysis and consideration of funding opportunities.

    • Collaboration: Close collaboration between architects, civil engineers, and PV specialists to ensure optimal integration.
